Today Anthony and I hung out with Gage and Truett while Molly was on a girls outing with Zoe and Grandma. We ate cereal for breakfast, played Hungry Hungry Hippos/Candy Land/Football game, went to the park and the swimming pool, ate lunch, took naps, played Wii/iPad and then went to the Smiths to play. It was an action packed day!
We wanted to go to the swimming pool at 11am when they opened, but today they had a Splash Class that was from 11-12p. So we went to the park, while we waited. While at the park, Truett needed the restroom, so I took him to my house. When we got back to the park there was an ambulance, firetruck and 3 police cars in front of the house kiddie corner to the park. We didn't know what was going on, but it was time to go to the pool so we started loading up the car. While I was buckling up Gage, a woman started jogging towards Anthony (who had gone back to the bench to get the bag of snacks). Suddenly one police car was blocking the street and the other police car was driving up into the park, on the grass. They got out and arrested the woman in front of us!! It was a crazy experience!!
After spending the day with Gage and Truett, Anthony and I went to Wisconsin to have dinner with our small group. We met at Uncle Mikes right off the highway. It turned out to be a bar, which was not appropriate for Kaycee. So we went to Cheddars instead. It was Bekah, Steve, Lisa, Jacob, Amanda, Matt, Anthony, Kayee and me at a corner booth. We were seated right away, but our service was kinda slow, which ended up ok because it gave us more time together. We're really going to miss our Wisconsin friends.
My prayer for today is to spend more time with our friends and to enjoy all our moments of life!
