Cousin Kim's Birthday Party

Despite our very sick little peanut, we left her with Grandma here at our house and headed down town for our evening of fun. It was a little stressful to have the woman we were meeting to purchase the Graco Ready2Grow double stroller form, change the time on us. Unfortunately, she wanted to meet much earlier than we were planning. My mom was able to come early, so we were able to meet her a little later than she wanted, but it seemed to work out for everyone. WE GOT OUR STROLLER for half the price of a new one!! It's a little dirty and needs a good wipe down, but other than that it looks great! We're so excited.

Then we headed to the city for some dinner and cousin Kim's birthday party.  Per Kim's suggestion we ate a restaurant named Chef Luciano's. The food was delicious!!!
We arrived at the party at 6:30pm when it was supposed to start. We wanted to be right on time for several reasons, 1. so that we could get home early to our sick baby and 2. so that we could exchange the cake/payment with her without disrupting too much party. We walked into the restaurant and no one was there. It was just us, the bartender, owner, photographer and his assistant.  We sat around waiting until about 7:15p when another woman showed up. She was wearing black and white (the required party guest colors), so we thought she was a guest like us. Turns out she was the party planner for the restaurant and was late because of a funeral. Around 7:45p some actual guests showed up with decorations and started decorating the room. Everyone kept assuring us the party was supposed to have started at 6:30p and no one could had any idea when the Birthday Girl would show up.  Finally around 8:20p Kim and a whole bunch of friends showed up to the party.  It was great to meet Kim, her husband and other members of Anthony's family. We ended up feeding the meter an extra 3 times, waiting around to be paid for the cake (which we never were). But ultimately, the silver lining is that we had a great night eating dinner downtown and being dressed up on a date together!
