Day 143 - Day 4 of PLumbing/Newest Emergency

Today we found out that there was a problem with the back bathroom. Of course! The front plumbing is close to being finished and the back breaks. I found puddles of water in the hallway and in Grammy's room. I had the plumber check it out and he thinks there might be a hole in the pipe under the hallway floor. We're looking at tearing up the floor... yikes! 

My prayer for today is that this second problem turns out better than we expected.

First Time In A Laundry Mat

Because of all the plumbing we don't have a laundry machine hooked up. I desperately needed to do Kaycee and Grammy's laundry.  So we packed up the laundry and went to the Laundry Mat. I've never been to one before. I figured it out! Kaycee and I played while we waited for the clothes to finish. It didn't turn out to be so bad! 

Big Girl

This morning was another helping Grammy morning! I just love watching her hang out in the chair!! 

Day 142 - Day 3 of Plumbing/Cleaning the Family Room

They finished the pipes today! Hopefully tomorrow we can pour concrete and get the kitchen back together soon!  So I spent the afternoon cleaning the family room. We boxed up a bunch of Marty's movies and rearranged the furniture for optimal space!  

My prayer for today that I continue working on the house and get everything put into it's place! 

Day 141 - Day 2 of Plumbing

On Day 2 of plumbing they had to break more concrete. So Grammy, Kaycee and I had to go back outside, except it had rained over night and the outside chairs were wet. So we stayed on the screened in porch! 

My prayer for today is that Kaycee's head heals and that she doesn't have any other damage. 

Head Bump

This morning was Momma's mistake. As we were walking out of Grammy's room Kaycee arched her back and bumped her head on the door frame. She had a cut (that didn't bleed) and a red spot. Of course, it was 5 min. to 9:00am and the doctor's office doesn't open until 9:00am. I was a wreck, but my dad talked me through those 5 min. The doctor told me that unless she was acting goofy, she was perfectly fine. She acted normal!! So my baby was not hurt!! 

Helping Grammy

Our mornings usually start with nursing and then snuggling in the chair in Kaycee's room. After sufficient snuggles with go help Grammy with her morning routine. Kaycee usually sits in the Grammy's chair and plays with whatever she can get her hands on! 

Day 140 - Day 1 of Plumbing

Today is the first day of our major plumbing project. Grammy's house sits on a concrete slab. So the plumbers had to break up the concrete to expose the pipes.  So Grammy, Kaycee and I spent an hour and a half outside in the back yard! Kaycee loved it of course. Except when I kissed her. Every time I kissed her, she cried. I eventually stopped kissing her, but not for long!!

Day 139 - Sick Baby

Poor baby is sick today. She's got a runny nose, puffy eyes with tears and a slight temperature. She looks miserable, but is acting totally normal. I wonder if she truly feels bad. I hope not! 

My prayer for today is that Kaycee feels better soon!!

Day 138 - Dinner At The Kemens

Tonight we had dinner with the Mark and Sarah at their house. Kaycee and Miriam started off with a conversation in their bumbos. It was adorable, especially their little toes touching.  Dinner was chicken tacos and yummy salad, followed by angel food cake with strawberries and cool whip. It's so good to be with them for an evening! 

My prayer for today is a prayer of thanksgiving for friends and a prayer of strength for Adam and Melissa!

Melissa's Baby Shower

This afternoon Kaycee and I went to Melissa's baby shower. She was adorable, the decorations were adorable, the cake was adorable and I'm so happy for Adam and Melissa. Good Luck with your precious bundle of joy!! 

Saturday Selfie

This morning we slept in and had a lazy morning. We took a family selfie this morning!! I love our little family! 

Day 137 - Momma's Girl

I love taking pictures with my little peanut!

Fun Times

Tonight we spent the evening playing on the couch. There were some happy moments and some sad moments! I love her facial expressions! 

Toes

This little Kaycee Lou is all about her toes, these days! She loves to grab her toes, especially the right ones. She hasn't quite gotten them into her mouth yet. (I'm hoping that never happens...)
