Days 173-175 - Wisconsin Dells

This weekend Gramma, Grampa, Daddy, Momma and Kaycee went to Wisconsin Dells for vacation. We booked our vacation through bluegreen vacations and had to sit through a presentation. But overall, the weekend was amazing!!

Saturday morning we started driving and met Gramma and Grampa at the Belvidere Oasis. Then we drove the rest of the way to Christmas Mountain Resort near the Dells. We had Cracker Barrel for lunch then checked in and got settled in our Villa.  Daddy and Grampa went to the driving range to hit some golf balls, Gramma went to the grocery store and Momma and Kaycee took a nap.  When Kaycee woke up, we met Daddy and Grampa at the driving range and hit some balls too. Then we went back to our villa, picked up Grama and went into town. We saw the Jeremy Allen Illusions show. The illusions were awesome, but Jeremy Allen was a bit cheesy. Anthony was chosen as a volunteer on stage and was instrumental in one of the tricks! He also was a VIP at got to stay after the show and talk with Jeremy Allen. It was awesome!!
Sunday morning was the time share presentation that Anthony and I had to sit through. The 2 hour presentation ended up taking 3.5 hours and took up our whole morning. Kaycee was well behaved until the very end. The timeshare was way too expensive, we could never afford that. But it seemed like a cool idea. Lunch was at Dynasty Chinese buffet and then we went to Timbavati Wildlife Park. (My favorite part of the trip!) We saw a pig race, all the animals and got to feed many of them. My favorite was feeding the giraffes! Dessert at Goody Goody Gum Drop after and then back to the resort for mini golf, except it was closed for the evening. Grilled steaks, potatoes and broccoli for dinner and games after.
Monday morning we packed up our stuff and went to play mini golf, except it was closed again.  So Gramma, Momma and Kaycee went swimming instead. Then lunch at Marley's and walking the Dells strip. We stopped and watched the Glockenspiel and then bought sweatshirts for our family. After that we road the Ducks (water and land vehicles) and then headed home. Dinner at Chilis and then homeward bound!

Day 172 - Storm and Fallen Trees

This storm was a terrible! It blew down a bunch of trees and branches. It also took out our power. So we packed up and went to Aloha for dinner! When we came home we had power. No more candles, no more touch lights/flashlights.

Day 171 - Sarah and Miriam Visit

Sarah and Miriam came over today! Mark had a meeting in Arlington Heights. I'm so thankful for such great friends! Kaycee and Miriam sat so nicely on the couch for pictures... until Miriam started smacking Kaycee in the face. Kaycee didn't like that very much and very kindly but forcefully moved her hand away each time. It was hilarious! Way to stick up for yourself Kaycee!!

Taggy

Kaycee really loves tags. So I finally pulled out her taggy!

Day 170 - Doctor's Appointments

Today was a stressful day for Momma. First we went to Dr. Cheng's office for an urology appointment.  He wanted a new ultrasound.  He said that the dilation is improving, but there is some concern about reflux (urine back up into the kidney).  So it asked for a VCUG test.
Then we went to Dr. Slavik's office to talk about her burn and weight loss. Dr. Mike isn't too concerned about her weight, and wants to recheck at her 6 month appointment.  He burn will heal on its own and will take a while. Momma is nervous about the weight, but the solids should help with that!

Day - Baby Bullet

I finally did it! I fed the poor baby some real food.  But now it's time for some yummy real food! So I pulled out the magic bullet and away we went! Bananas and peas! I'm so thankful to all our small group ladies for the baby bullet; it's awesome!

Solid Foods

Cereal!!!! This was a hard move for Momma, but Daddy and Kaycee were totally ready!!

Days 166-169 - Weekend with the Meidams

I'm so thankful for the Miedam's and all they have done for Anthony and our family! This weekend was amazing! We played with horses and chickens. We played golf, ate great food and spent quality time with family and friends! Kaycee even opened up and allowed other people to hold her and play with her, by the end of the weekend! Friday was chicken and rice dinner and some quality time.  Saturday was the Duke open, good food and fellowship with friends. Sunday was church, good food and fellowship with friends! Monday we hung out at home and had some friends come meet Kaycee. Tuesday we spent our last moments with family and then drove home. We were sad to leave.

My prayer for this past weekend is for the Meidam family. We're so thankful for them. God gave us some great family!
