Knights Game, Emily's Birthday

This morning was another Knights game. After the game we went to the Smiths for Emily's birthday dinner. Happy birthday Fraunt Emily! We gave her a set of books, unfortunately they were not the books on her list. She did says he would keep them and read them. Hopefully she liked them!

Christmas with Tom and Becky

Tom and Becky came over for dinner tonight, to celebrate Christmas with our family and Grammy. Uncle Tom played blocks with Kaycee and Aunt Becky played whatever Kaycee wanted her to play! We ate white chicken lasagna and salad and then opened Christmas presents at the dining room table. I loved seeing Grammy out with us enjoying our company, even though it was difficult for her to converse with everyone. It was such a special time to be together!

Lunch With Daddy

Today we picked up daddy and had lunch with him at Shop House. It's a yummy restaurant, but unfortunately they don't have any options for Kaycee. They have no kids meals and Kaycee won't eat what they serve. So she only got white rice. I did give her some of my chicken and corn out of my bowl.

Many Picture Attempts, Another Crocheted Basket

Sarah showed me a really awesome deal on shutterfly for free prints. So I decided to take Kaycee's second birthday party invites. It took a long time to get a good picture. Her "smile" is so strange, I gotta teach her to really smile!!
I finished my second basket today. I'm having such a great time making these baskets. They're going really quickly because I'm using 3 strands of yarn at a time. I think they look awesome and they're going to be so functional in Tripp's room. I know that I could have gone out and bought baskets, but not only are the crochet baskets cheaper but they're more fun and personal!

First Tooth

Tripp's first tooth is coming in. He's been so drooly recently, and it's finally evident why. I know he's been working on it for a few days, I'm grateful it's coming in. You can't really tell in these pictures, but it's there. Trust me, my finger knows. I just want to point out that he's 4 months old and is getting a tooth. Nursing till 1 year is going to be a challenge.

Lakers Jersey, Jesus Loves Me

I love that my baby girl can sing Jesus Loves Me. We sing it to her every night before she goes to sleep. I pray that this little girl loves Jesus all her life. I hope that we're teaching her right!
Anthony's Laker Jersey came in today. It was quite a terrifying experience, actually. He found a great deal online (after Kobe announced his retirement) and went ahead and bought it. The site seemed to be affiliated with the NBA and even looked official, but after purchasing the jersey Anthony got a bad feeling about the company. IT turned out to not be an official NBA site and his jersey was going to come from another country. We were nervous that our credit card info was going to be compromised. But it wasn't, we were charged the right amount and the jersey showed up.

Church

Look at this handsome boy. He's ready for church! I especially love his superman shoes (you can't really tell in this picture, but they have red capes on the back)!

Knights Game, Lunch with Framily

This morning was another Knights basketball game! Tripp was awake for some of this game, he's learning is future! I see a future NBA star! Then we went over to the Smiths for lunch. It was awesome to be with them, relaxed and just spending time together. I miss all the time we used to spend with them. (Yes I understand that it's different when you don't live with them for half the week) They were so good to us!

Posing, Fudge, Crocheted Basket

I wanted a good picture of how cute Kaycee looked in her leg warmers from Kynsey. However, Kaycee's "smile" leaves something to be desired. We'll work on that! Anthony and I made fudge today. Peanut butter for me and white chocolate peppermint for Anthony.
I finished my first basket today! I'm super excited. I measured the shelves in Tripp's room and decided how big I wanted the baskets. I made the bottom of the basket the exact measurements that I wanted. However, I should have made it smaller because the sides are a little floppy and make the basket bigger than originally intended. However, I LOVE it and I'm super excited to make more!

Books, Mema Visit

Mema came to visit today. Kaycee always loves it when Mema is here. She tends to want all of Mema's attention, which makes it difficult for Mema to get anything done. I am so thankful to have my parents close. It's such a blessing for the kids to see Mema and Papa so often. We wish that Nana lived closer!
