Culvers With Grammy And Grama

Grammy had her first appointment at Trinity Lutheran Adult Day Program today. We went to check out the facility and meet the staff. It's a smaller location than what I was imagining, but it's perfect for their program. Grammy didn't seem too excited, but hopefully she'll like it after she tries it a couple of times!!

After Grammy's appointment we went to Culver's for lunch. While waiting for our food, Kaycee found the salt shaker and had a blast playing with it. It was not such a blast for Momma to clean up!

Bow Obsession

After spending some time with our friends Christina and Ian, I was inspired to make bows. Christina's girls have the cutest bows all the time and I found out that she makes them herself! I had never ventured into bows before, but I'm so excited I did. I gathered up all the ribbon I could find in the house (leftovers from the wedding, rehearsal dinner bow bouquet, scrapbooking ribbon, etc) and made up the bows as I worked. I'm so excited with how most of them turned out!! 

We finally put up the bow organizer Auntie Kyra made for Kaycee and the bows look fantastic on it! 

Easter Dinner

Easter was fantastic! We started off at church for our Easter service, a great ending to our weekend of church activities! Then the Easter Egg hunt! (which was rudely interrupted by a pulled fire alarm, but funny enough worked out in our favor to get everyone outside quickly for the egg hunt). Kaycee didn't quite understand the idea of picking up eggs and putting them into her bucket, but she sure had fun with the few we gathered for her.  Then a small lunch provided by the church, cookie decorating (more like eating) and coloring contest. Afterwards we almost made it out of the building when I realized I had lost my phone; took us 30 minutes to find, but finally we did in Mom's classroom.

Then home to cook and prepare Easter Dinner! So thankful to spend Easter afternoon with family and friends. Jamey's friend from school was here and Alaina came over to celebrate with us! Dinner was delicious!

Kaycee had a great time playing in Grama and Grampa's tupperware cabinet, in the same dress I wore and mom wore when we were her age! So special for her to get to wear it (although I was totally nervous for her to play in it, fear of ripping it).

Easter At Willow

We spent tonight with Christina and Ian and their precious girls. First we went to Willow Creek's Easter service and then to their house for pizza and Catan. Such a great time! I'm so thankful for new friends!! They are such a great example of loving God and raising family to love God too! Pizza was tasty and Catan fun, even though Ian swooped in to beat me at the last moment! 

Jimmy Johns Lunch with Daddy

After being cute for the Easter Bunny we needed to be messy to eat peanutbutter and jelly! Momma and Daddy ate Jimmy Johns and Kaycee enjoyed her applesauce and sandwich from home!!

Easter Bunny

This afternoon we met Daddy at work to meet the Easter Bunny. It's so great to look back at last year's pictures of Kaycee meeting the Easter bunny at about 6 weeks old. This year she's able to interact with the Easter Bunny and even smile for pictures! I love our cute sweet baby!! 

Morning Giggles

I'm LOVE this stage of life. I know I have so much to compare it to, but so far it's my favorite. Her little personality is coming out and we're seeing more and more of who Kaycee is! She's a talker and an explorer. She always wants to be on the move and constantly wants to be in everyone's radar! She's such a precious, funny little girl! 

Favorite Toy

Thank you Aunt Molly for Kaycee's favorite toy. We've had it for a while, and it's lived in a bin. Now it's come out to play... It sings and pops balls out the top. Sometimes I have to kick start it, but for the most part Kaycee can turn it on and play with it herself now!  I don't know if I'll ever get those songs out of my head!

Park With The Voights

Today we went to the park near the park district. Grammy came with us, my mom met us there and so did Christina and the girls. The park was packed!! So many moms and tots coming out to play on this gorgeous day! So thankful for the morning with family and friends!
