This morning Christina called me and asked me to watch her girls while she ran an emergency errand. I was happy to oblige and met her at the church. We started out at the park, although it was slightly chilly outside. After a long time playing, the girls were starting to get cold (you can see that Trippy was quite snuggly and warm in his bear suit), so we went inside. It was quite an ordeal to be inside. Champs had set up a table near the doors, and when I walked in I just announced that I was a member. The lady manning the table, didn't stop me so I just walked straight to the nursery. Once in the nursery I asked the woman if the girls could play for a little while. She agreed so I let the girls play while I started to get diaper changing stuff ready. I was then approached by a not-so-friendly Champs lady who aggressively told me I was not welcome in the building during Champs time. We finished our diaper changing business and then promptly went back outside into the cold. I do understand that they don't want intruders or strangers in the building with all their children, but I also believe that she could have handled the situation better and been kinder towards me and the kiddos. Needless to say, we had a great time playing at the park and Kaycee enjoyed Ry and Paisley's company!

Sunday Best, Basketball Championships
Anthony did a great job giving meditation at church this morning. I am so proud of him when he works so hard to prepare a great message for the communion! He also looks like a total STUD up there! After church we went to the Park District for the Championship games. Anthony's team played the first game and won by the hair on their chinny chin chins. They played immediately after and unfortunately lost the second game. I'm very proud of Anthony and all the hard work he puts into being the coach of these boys. He spends so much time researching, watching basketball and preparing plays. He teaches the boys basketball and how to be great sports. I love watching him do something he loves. Hopefully, he can continue to coach in the future (because this is Caleb's last season with the Park District). We spent the afternoon at Mema and Papa's house taking naps before going to Night Light at the church. Sammi was getting rebaptized and we wanted to be there to support her and her family! Congrats Sammi.

Basketball Championships, Dinner with Mema and Papa
Day 1 of basketball championships. Anthony's team won! Kaycee and I played in the play area for the half hour before the game. Anthony likes to be early to prep the boys, and sometimes Kaycee gets antsy. They havn't let her in because she was under 2, but today they let her in. For $2 it was worth it to play and get the wiggles out before the game. The boys played hard and won the game in the last quarter! Papa came to support, which extra special! After the game we had the team party at Mr. Beef and Pizza. Afterwards we stopped at Sara Z.'s house to meet Wendee. She's totally precious! We played the rest of the afternoon at Mema and Papa's house and ended the night with some yummy dinner. We realized that it's fairly hard to feed Tripp solid foods when he's wiggly on our laps, so we set him up in a box on the counter. It worked pretty well if I do say so myself!

Library, Babysit for Carris Kiddos
Today we visited the library for some fun. Kaycee spent a long time playing in their play area before we went to explore the rest of the kids area. The library has bags full of puzzles and other table activities. So, Kaycee and I played dress up dolls, and rings/blocks on the pegs, puzzles, and interactive stories. Tripp slept through the library, which gave me some uninterrupted time with Kaycee. I treasure this time with her, I know it's only moments, but they're perfect for me!

Dentist Appt,, Mema Visit
I had a dentist appt today. So Mema came to watch the kids. My appt was early, so she met me at the dentist and then took the kids home. Thankfully, I've got no cavities!

T-Shirt Quilt, Playing at Church
Today we went to church to lay out my t-shirt quilt. Mom has been collecting t-shirts from my whole life to create a t-shirt quilt. She made Tom's in the past and I'm super excited for her to make mine. I had a lot of mismatched pieces and they were all different sizes. My OCD side had some trouble with the differences, but we figured out a way to make it all work!

Tree Pruning
The city/village came through and pruned all the trees that were hovering over the street today. I was a little concerned because they were cutting off a large portion of the branches. Apparently the trees between the sidewalk and the street are city/village property and they have the right to prune them. However, that grass area is still our responsibility to mow. Explain that one to me?
