Day 128 - Feed My Starving Children

Tonight Anthony and I went to Feed My Starving Children with a group from Cardinal Drive. We rode in the church van, and were there for the 8-9:30p session.  Anthony worked at the bagging station and I worked mostly at the vitamins station. It was a load of fun!! Everyone at this session packed 95 boxes, which made 20,520. This fed 56 children for a whole year!!

My prayer for today is that our family becomes servants of God. I pray that we find more opportunities to serve our Lord.

Done Trying

I've been having trouble doing Tummy Time with Kaycee, beucase it slips my mind. She wakes up from a nap and usually eats right away. Then we snuggle or play for a while. I forget all about tummy time. Today, I remembered.
I put her on her tummy. She didn't want to be on her tummy, so she rolled over. I placed her on her tummy again. She didn't want to be on her tummy, so she laid down and sucked her fingers. She's done!

Disney Princess

Look at my cute Disney Princess. I've been waiting fooooorever to put her in this cute Disney outfit. It makes me think of Cindi and Kerrie.
Today Kaycee was super happy. I'm not really sure why... her morning naps we're not all that great. She was super smiley and talky! It made it hard to leave her alone at all. I did however, get my cake supplies organized, several loads of laundry done and the kitchen cleaned up.

Day 127 - Double Thumbs

Today Kaycee was doubling thumbing it. Her gum must have been really hurting. She was chewing on both thumbs!

Today I pray that Kaycee doesn't have the same issues with food obsession that I have. That she learns to eat until she's full and not over eat.

Day 126 - 2 Years Together!

Today Anthony and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary! I'm so blessed to be married to this man.  We have had 2 great years of marriage and I'm looking for a hundred more!!

We went out for a movie tonight. Molly kept Kaycee! She had a great time with Molly and the kids!

We're going to celebrate with dinner and possibly something else this weekend. (if we can squeeze it in)

My prayer for today is for Kaycee's future husband. I pray that he is a man of God that leads her in a Godly life and marriage!

Kaycee Outfit

Thank you Calhouns for this adorable outfit! It has her name embroidered on it and I love it! I kept thinking it was too big for her, but it's not anymore! She's just so darn cute in it!

Day 125 - Playing With Joanna

Joanna came over tonight to hang out with Grammy. We were all in the living room hanging out when Joanna started making silly faces at Kaycee. Kaycee was smiling and giggling up a storm. I was trying to take pictures of her and they kept turning out dark, so I turned the flash on. "Deer in the headlights or flash" look!!

My prayer for today is for Kaycee's future. I pray that she grows into a beautiful woman with ambition and love!

Church Happiness

Today's church experience was different than any other. Anthony was teaching the teen class for Rob (while he is in Honduras). He wanted to be there at 8:30am to set up the computer and all that jazz. I showed up at 9am with donuts and coffee! After class we went to church and Kaycee of course got hungry in the middle of the sermon. They really need to get a speaker/tv in the nursery, so that I can listen to the sermon while Kaycee's eating. Then after church we went home to have lunch with Grammy and to do various activities before Mom, Dad and Jamey came over for dinner.

They came about 7:00pm and we ate Spaghetti, Garlic Bread and Salad. It was great to have them over for dinner and to snuggle Kaycee before bed time!

Day 124 - Our Day with Gage and Truett

Today Anthony and I hung out with Gage and Truett while Molly was on a girls outing with Zoe and Grandma. We ate cereal for breakfast, played Hungry Hungry Hippos/Candy Land/Football game, went to the park and the swimming pool, ate lunch, took naps, played Wii/iPad and then went to the Smiths to play. It was an action packed day!

We wanted to go to the swimming pool at 11am when they opened, but today they had a Splash Class that was from 11-12p. So we went to the park, while we waited. While at the park, Truett needed the restroom, so I took him to my house. When we got back to the park there was an ambulance, firetruck and 3 police cars in front of the house kiddie corner to the park.  We didn't know what was going on, but it was time to go to the pool so we started loading up the car. While I was buckling up Gage, a woman started jogging towards Anthony (who had gone back to the bench to get the bag of snacks). Suddenly one police car was blocking the street and the other police car was driving up into the park, on the grass. They got out and arrested the woman in front of us!! It was a crazy experience!!

After spending the day with Gage and Truett, Anthony and I went to Wisconsin to have dinner with our small group. We met at Uncle Mikes right off the highway.  It turned out to be a bar, which was not appropriate for Kaycee. So we went to Cheddars instead. It was Bekah, Steve, Lisa, Jacob, Amanda, Matt, Anthony, Kayee and me at a corner booth.  We were seated right away, but our service was kinda slow, which ended up ok because it gave us more time together. We're really going to miss our Wisconsin friends.

My prayer for today is to spend more time with our friends and to enjoy all our moments of life!

Day 123 - Pool Outing

Today was a busy day for Kaycee and I. First, we went to the Farmer's Market with Grammy. We bought some apple cider donuts and some yummy bread.  Grammy bought a berry dessert bar. Then we went to the Schaumburg library and I got my library card. (I put some things on hold, online, when I got home!)
Daddy gets home early, at 2pm, on Fridays during the summer. So, we bought our outdoor swim passes for the rest of the summer and we went swimming! Kaycee had a great time, until the sun went behind a cloud and it got cold.  I love my little swimmer ducky!

My prayer for today is to be diligent about using our summer swim passes.

Day 122 - Sick Baby

Kaycee doesn't feel well today. I didn't realize it until after the zoo. Her forehead was very warm and I was quite concerned. I took her temperature at it was 100.4. I called the doctor and he told me not too worry, it might take 48 hours for the vaccines to disappear. No wonder she slept most of the day and is super snuggly.

Zoo With Molly

Today Kaycee and I went to the zoo with Molly and the kids. We left around 10:30a and saw the lions, tigers and bears! We even saw the dolphin show (I think it's better than the Shedd's show)! I love hanging out with them and am very thankful they treated us to the zoo. We had a blast!!!

Day 121 - 4 Month Doctor Apt.

Today was Kaycee's 4 month doctor's appointment. She is (perfect)...
 26 inches tall (98th percentile),
13 pounds and 13 ounces (50th percentile)
and has a head circumference of 42 centimeters (90th percentile).

The doctor said we could start helping her sit (been there, done that), she should start rolling over (been there, done that) and that we can start solid foods (nope, not gonna happen yet!). She also got 4 shots which she cried during and calmed right down when Momma picked her up.

My prayer for today is that Kaycee is a healthy girl her whole life!

Nervous For The Doctor

Kaycee is nervous for the doctor. Just kidding, she has no idea she is even going to the doctor today. Momma is nervous though. Kaycee will get 4 shots today. It's harder on Momma than Kaycee.
