Church with Emily

Emily sat with us at church this morning, while Susie was in the nursery and Chris was leading singing. Ty and Caleb are both in the youth group and sit in that section. So Emily was in need of family. That's me!!  Kaycee sat with her for a long time during church, playing with her toy. Kaycee is having some issues with being away from Mommy or Daddy, so it's always nice when she can hang out with someone else for a while!

My prayer for today is that Kaycee gets comfortable with all her family and friends and doesn't cry when ever they want to hold her.

Day 187 - Sippy Cup

Gramma bought Kaycee her first sippy cup. Kaycee stopped taking a bottle and we were wondering if she was ready for a sippy cup. So on our way back into town tonight we stopped by my parents and trued out the sippy cup. It didn't work as well as we had hoped but she's getting there. She likes to play with it more than anything else.

Baby Emmalin

After hanging taking pictures with Amanda, we went to the One Thing with the young adults from EUM. It was Jacob and Lisa's house, where they guys watched the Badgers game and the ladies played with the babies. It was awesome to hang out with everyone. It's so encouraging to spend time with other young adults (kids or no kids) that love God and want to serve him with there life. It seems that there are so few of us around, that we had better stick together!
Then we stopped over at the Goebel's and got to meet baby Emmalin. She's precious! It definitely gave me baby fever to hold such a tiny baby again. It wasn't that long ago that Kaycee was tiny like that. It seems so crazy that she's grown so much and she's so huge now (except for her age she's little).

6 Month Photo Shoot

Amanda Jo Photography took Kaycee's 6 month photo's this morning. I am SO IMPRESSED with her work! I couldn't be happier with the photos and how they turned out. Not to mention that the photo shoot was incredibly fun! Thank you so much Amanda!
Congrats to my big girl!! I can't wait to see how much you grow up in the next 6 months!

Day 186 - Flowers

Anthony went to the store tonight to grab a few things for the One Thing tomorrow. He came back with a surprise for me! It's kind of a funny story because earlier this week, when I was grocery shopping, I snapped a picture of some yellow roses at Aldi. I made a joke to the cashier that maybe my husband would get the hint if I sent him the picture. I did not send him the picture, but he must have gotten the hint anyway. He's so sweet to bring me flowers out of the blue. I love that man!

My prayer for today is that I speak Anthony's love language on a daily basis and that we're growing stronger in our marriage!

4 generations

Gramma came over today to work on a few things around the house. At lunch we had all 4 generations on women sitting a the kitchen table. It's not a very good picture, but it'll do for now. I love that we get to be a part of something so rare!

Big Girl

Kaycee wants to be a big girl so badly. The doctor suggested putting her on her tummy and putting a few toys just out of reach. I start her on her knees and after a while her knees scoot out from under her. She hasn't quite figured out how to army crawl yet, but I think it's coming soon. I'm torn on how I feel about her crawling. I'm excited because it's a huge milestone in her life. But I'm nervous because that means she's finally mobile and can get around on her own. Then my job gets 10 times harder. (It also means I need to figure out how to baby proof the house).

Day 185 - Zurich Cake

This afternoon Anthony sent me a text asking if I wanted to make a cake tonight. Tomorrow he's floor is having a party to congratulate a coworker on 25 years at the company. He volunteered a cake. So I baked in the afternoon and decorated at night. I enjoy decorating cakes. I think that if I ever opened a shop somewhere I would hire someone to bake the cakes for me. I would love to work just with buttercream.
I did however dable with fondant earlier this month and had some left over. I made a fondant banner and wrote in buttercream on it. It came out great for my first try!

My prayer for today is for Anthony's job. I pray that he continues to move up the ladder until he finds a job that he is happy with and that he doesn't settle for something else just for money!

Zoo With friends

Today Kaycee and I went to the zoo with Molly and Truett. We met Christina, Paisley and Ryleigh there. It was wonderful to walk around and get to know Christina better. We finally got to visit the Sting Rays. Truett didn't want to touch the sting rays, but it was fun to watch all the kiddos looking at them swim by. I wonder if we'll make zoo trips when it gets colder outside?

Day 182 - Pushing and pushing

My poor baby is battling constipation. She has been for a while now.  She grunts and puts her little legs up and pushes. Her face will get all red and she looks miserable. After all that work she's super snuggly. I feel so terrible for her and we've been talking to the doctor about how to handle the situation. He suggested having her drink water in between feedings, but I can't get her to take the bottle. We'll keep working on it.

My prayer for today is that we get this constipation under control before it does more serious damage to my baby.
