We've officially discovered the sleep sack. I'm not sure if she's supposed to be in jammies and the sleep sack, but usually we just put her in a diaper and the sleep sack. She gets warm any way. But it's quite hilarious in the morning because she wants to get up and play. However, the sleep sack prevents her little leggies from working properly. So she hasn't quite discovered how to pull herself up in her crib!! Quite genius, for now!

Day 252 - Goodnight Baby
Tonight Daddy ready Kaycee and goodnight story. I think we'll make this party of our night night routine. She waited until Daddy was all done reading to reach for the book. She was engaged and interested the whole story. What a special moment!
I pray for more special moments like this with our precious baby!
Chilling Like A Villan
Kaycee and I spent some time chilling on the couch today, after she played on the floor and tired herself out in the jumper. I love snuggling that baby. When I took out the trash/recycling this morning it was raining. I got wet. Then I came inside and cleaned off my glasses, and looked up out the window and it was snowing. It ended the day off with snowing icy nasty all over the world!

Day 251 - Painting The Boys Room
After the party, we went back to Grama and Grampa's house where Grampa was painting the boys old room. They are changing it from green to two shades of blue. I taped the baseboards so that Dad could paint them easier. It was fairly enjoyable actually. Kaycee finally hung out with Jamey for an extended amount of time. That was precious!
After we went to Dairy Queen for dessert and Jimmy Johns for dinner.
I pray that Dawn and her family will have a successful trip to Oklahoma and will settle down quickly!
Dawn's Going Away Party
After church we went to the Smith's house for Dawn's going away party. She's moving to Oklahoma to be closer to her children. Cardinal Drive is going to miss her and her family. I made her cake with some beautiful buttercream flowers and a funky saying! Drake made friends with Kaycee and played with her for a significant amount of time. So cute!
Church
Kaycee fell asleep on my chest today during church. I love worshipping with her and it makes me feel closer to God to have her with me. She was precious today and it makes me feel so happy!

Day 250 - Super China Buffet
Tonight Anthony and I ran some errands, which he was super ecstatic about doing. I needed to return multiple things and I wanted him to go with me. So we ended up deciding to go out for dinner too. We wanted to try India House restaurant, but it looked super fancy ((chandeliers and all...), which we thought might be a mistake with a tired baby. So we ended up at Super China Buffet. It ended up being a good choice. There were a fairly decent amount of choices, and some exotic ones at that. Anthony tried Frog Legs (his favorite item of the night), crawfish, crab legs, muscles and clams. I however tried chicken and broccoli, fried rice and egg rolls (I know I branch out soo much). Kaycee at mashed potatoes, sweet and sour chicken without the sauce and drank water out of a cup (because we left her sippy in the car). All in all a pretty decent night out!
Please God keep all of us healthy after eating enormous amounts of Chinese buffet food!
Yard Work
This afternoon Anthony worked on the branches and leaves in the backyard. Kaycee spent a while outside with him, until she got fussy and needed her nap. Grammy and I worked on a cake for Dawn's going away party.
First PB&J
Today we took the plunge and gave Kaycee her first taste of peanutbutter. Our pediatrician said the earlier the better to introduce her to peanuts. So peanutbutter and jelly for lunch!
Happy Saturday Morning
It's so nice to have lazy Saturday mornings. I love waking up, feeding Kaycee, snuggling and spending quality family time together before the day picks up pace! I cherish these family memories!

Day 249 - Happy Birthday Frappy
Happy Birthday Frappy! Tonight we celebrated Chris's birthday with a surprise birthday party (except it wasn't as much of a surprise as we had hoped. Some let certain things slip that clued him into the plans) Needless to say, we had a great time. I made a half chocolate and half yellow cake with butter cream Alabama football decorations for him. The Carris's and Edna were also there to celebrate! I love birthday dinners!!
Today I pray for Chris Smith. He has been such a blessing in our lives we are so thankful to call him Frappy!
