Beautiful, Hospital Visit, Mema's Birthday

Kaycee dressed Tripp up in her jeweley today. She thought he was beautiful. We're going to have to teach her how to make Tripp handsome instead!

We got to visit Grammy tonight! It warms my heart every time I see Kaycee with Grammy. She wanted to climb into Grammy's hospital bed and sit with her. She even laid down next to her and snuggled Grammy for a while. It's hard having Grammy away from home, but we keep reminding Kaycee that Grammy is at the hospital to get better and then she'll come home.

Tonight we celebrated mom's birthday at Outback Steak House. It was a super tasty dinner. I was thankful to sit next to mom and get to talk with her on her birthday! It's hard to have a lot of people at a restaraunt, you don't end of talking to the people at the opposite side of the table. Kaycee kept wanting to get up and go see Uncle Jon, so eventually we moved her high chair over to sit next to him. Hopefully he didn't mind handling her during dinner. Happy Birthday Mom, so thankful to get to celebrate with you on your birthday. We love you!

JumpZone

This morning we met Molly, Truett, Christina and her girls at Jump Zone. Kaycee's free until she turns 2. I can see us spending a lot of time here, until then! Kaycee had such a great time running around and playing in the bouncy house. She had a hard time in the bigger houses, but there was a smaller one that she and Ryleigh spent a lot of time in. It was wonderful to spend time with Molly and Christina! Jump Zone, we'll see you soon!

We tried to visit Grammy tonight, but they wouldn't let us in. The lady in the next room through a hissy fit because we had children on the floor. Apparently they were testing her husband  and Grammy for some infection. I'm grateful that they would try to protect my kiddos, but the nurse said it was ok to come in. Ultimately, they wouldn't let us in. Kaycee was really sad and didn't understand why she couldn't see Grammy.  We'll see her tomorrow, hopefully!

Tripp Doc, Appt, ER visit

Tripp had his 4 month doctor's appointment today. Grammy had a follow up appointment with Dr. Kuhlman at the same time. Mom took Grammy to her appointment and I took the kids to Tripp's. Before we left for the appointment, Kaycee made 1 suspicious comment... "Momma, my ear hurts." (while tugging on her ear) Well, that's all it took to have the doctor look at her ears.

Tripp weighed in at 15lbs and 3 ounces. Bigger than he was at his last appointment, but dropping into the 50th %tile for weight. Doc. isn't concerned, but did give us the information about starting solids. We can start whenever we want to, I think we'll wait for a while.

Dr. Kuhlman was not thrilled with how Grammy was responding during her appointment and her overall demeanor. He told mom to take her to ER for a full work up. Mom ultimately decided to bring her home hoping that we could get a hold of her MD at home doctor and have him come out tomorrow instead. However, while Mom was at work we decided that it would be easier to spend the evening in the ER (while Anthony could be home with the kids) than to spend tomorrow in the Urgent Care with both kids. So we took her to ER. Thankfully, they were not busy and got her back into a room quickly. They ultimately determined that her blood work showed that she was dehydrated. (This totally baffles me because I was giving her exactly how much nutritional feedings through her tube and water to flush the tube as I was instructed by the doctor.) So, they're going to admit her and re-hydrate her. She'll be in the hospital for a couple of days. Then maybe they'll send her to rehab to get strong before coming home. I'm not sure that I want her gone at rehab, maybe we can have a physical therapist come more often to the house instead. But then again, it could be helpful for her to be strong again. I'm just praying this is not a drawn out thing and that she comes home soon. It's hard on everyone to have her away from home.

Tuesday

Another Tuesday. Fortunately, the kiddos are feeling better. Kaycee still seems a little under the weather, but nothing alarming!

Sick Babies

It's going to be a long week if my children don't get better quickly. Kaycee's cold has made it into her eyes and she looks miserable. However, she's in good spirits. Tripp doesn't seem to miserable yet. Pray that it gets better over night!

Church

Anthony read scripture today. It's such an amazing feeling watching him stand before the church reading God's word. I love watching him step up and lead!

Knights Game, Emily's Birthday

This morning was another Knights game. After the game we went to the Smiths for Emily's birthday dinner. Happy birthday Fraunt Emily! We gave her a set of books, unfortunately they were not the books on her list. She did says he would keep them and read them. Hopefully she liked them!

Christmas with Tom and Becky

Tom and Becky came over for dinner tonight, to celebrate Christmas with our family and Grammy. Uncle Tom played blocks with Kaycee and Aunt Becky played whatever Kaycee wanted her to play! We ate white chicken lasagna and salad and then opened Christmas presents at the dining room table. I loved seeing Grammy out with us enjoying our company, even though it was difficult for her to converse with everyone. It was such a special time to be together!

Lunch With Daddy

Today we picked up daddy and had lunch with him at Shop House. It's a yummy restaurant, but unfortunately they don't have any options for Kaycee. They have no kids meals and Kaycee won't eat what they serve. So she only got white rice. I did give her some of my chicken and corn out of my bowl.

Many Picture Attempts, Another Crocheted Basket

Sarah showed me a really awesome deal on shutterfly for free prints. So I decided to take Kaycee's second birthday party invites. It took a long time to get a good picture. Her "smile" is so strange, I gotta teach her to really smile!!
I finished my second basket today. I'm having such a great time making these baskets. They're going really quickly because I'm using 3 strands of yarn at a time. I think they look awesome and they're going to be so functional in Tripp's room. I know that I could have gone out and bought baskets, but not only are the crochet baskets cheaper but they're more fun and personal!
