Sonshine School Halloween Party

Kaycee had her first Halloween Party today with Sonshine School! She looked so cute as Minnie Mouse!! (I'm super proud of her costume and can't wait to get the rest of us dressed up to match!). She played Halloween games, carved a pumpkin, had a dance party, listened to Halloween stories, ate snacks and had a trick or treat circle in Sonshine School. The babies slept through class, so I was able to lend an extra pair of hands to Mema and DJ for the party! It was a success!

Tripp was very miserable when I woke him up from his morning nap. I could not figure out what was wrong. At first I thought I had startled him when I woke him up, but that shouldn't have kept him crying through lunch and the whole way home. Welp, I figured it out when I went to change his diaper. Poor budy has a bunch of blisters on his bottom. Doctor says the ammonia levels are elevated in his urine, causing 2nd degree chemical burns on his bottom. He prescribed 2 baths a day plus antibacterial cream and a lot of butt cream. If it's not better in 48 hours then we'll need to go in and see the doc. Please God, make my buddy's booty feel better!

(yes that's 2 mice that Anthony disposed of this morning)

Champs, Working on Halloween Costumes

Kaycee had Champs this morning and was very excited to go! The other kids and I hung out at the Prewitts for nap time and I was able to cut out a bazillion white circles for Kaycee's Halloween costume. Then this afternoon I hotglued them to her tutu and bow! She's going to look very cute tomorrow in her Minnie Mouse costume.

Big Fall, Family Fun in the Backyard

After church we went to Chipotle with Miss Rebecca for lunch. We sat outside because it was gorgeous, which ended up being a great idea. This way when Kaycee and Tripp were done eating they could run around the enclosed patio area and play while the adults hung out. Well after a while, Tripp came over to me and I stood him up on the chair. I had my arm around him holding him the whole time. He slid down my arm (like we do often) to a sitting position, except instead he fell through the back of the chair and smacked the back of his head on the concrete, quite loudly. He immediately cried (no black out) but no bump formed, which was a cause for concern. He didn't show any other concussion symptoms so we took him home and let him take a nap. Fortunately, he stood in his crib and played for a while, which gave Momma peace that he was fine.

We spent the afternoon outside. We played on the play set, built a fire, ate dinner outside and hung out till it was too dark to see. Then we went inside for bedtime. What a perfect night!

Football Saturday

Today was a Saturday full of Football! Anthony took the kiddos to Gage's football game in the morning while Momma stayed home for cake pick ups. The kids had a blast despite the cold weather. Momma took Kaycee to the store to buy some items for the evening football and came home with 2 cupcakes that were more frosting than cupcake for the kiddos. They really enjoyed all that sugar!

Zach's game was awesome! We tailgated before hand with the Ray family and then watched a good portion of the game before having to take tired children home. We stayed through the third quarter, which was well past kiddos bed times. I was able to get Tripp to fall asleep, while holding him, under blanket. That doesn't happen very often so I was cherishing the sleepy snuggles. Kaycee did great, holding it together the whole time! She really enjoys being out and about with the people we love!

Cake Day

Mema came over today so that I could have some time to work on decorating 2 cakes due tomorrow. I am so grateful for her help. She kept Kaycee busy with painting and other art projects, playing outside, reading books, etc. I got a lot of work done while Kaycee and Tripp were occupied! Olive is always easy, rolling around on the floor playing with the toys!

I also conquered my fear of THAT intersection tonight. I went out for cake boxes and stopped at the Sonic for ice cream on my way back. I did it successfully without an accident. I won't say that it doesn't give me anxiety to be stopped at that light, but I handled it just fine!

(yes that's the first of what I can only imagine will be many more mice, caught in a trap in the middle of our kitchen floor. The trap did not start out in the middle of the floor, but in the bottom of the drawers instead. The mouse apparently tried to escape...)

Caleb's Football Game

This afternoon we went to Caleb's last football game. I would tell you how he played, except I don't know anything about football. All I know is that at one point I heard a really loud crack, which was later explained to me as Caleb's helmet crashing into another kids helmet as he tackled him to the ground (so I guess he did well!). Afterwards, we went to Sweet Baby Rays for dinner. Frappy drew some fabulous dancing girls in watermelon skirts for Kaycee and Tripp made a huge mess on the floor. The food was delicious! Thanks Framma and Frappy for dinner!

(I've officially broken the drawer... long time coming)
