This morning we celebrated the Beauchamps new baby. This bundle of joy is coming soon and we showered the family with love and gifts after church. I made a cake for the shower, bottom tier was yellow cake with strawberry buttercream and vanilla buttercream rosettes. The top tier is a fresh carrot cake with cream cheese icing and a fondant baby on top. After the shower the kiddos took a nap and I went to Aldi to shop for Night Light. I totally over bought food because only 4 teens showed up. It was still a great night of brats, hot dogs and smores over an open fire. Devo was outside around the fire pit. I loved it, we'll definitely be having friends over for fire nights this summer!

Visiting Grama Nancy and Grampa Tom
What a great day! The kiddos slept until after 7, which was a wonderful treat for everyone. Typically when we're at someone else's house and the sun shines through the windows, the kiddos wake up especially early. After a lazy morning eating all kinds of yummy breakfast including pancakes that Aunt Beth made, the children played and napped. Then we headed over to Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Tom's house. The house was locked and Grandma and Grandpa were still in bed, but they were happy to see us. Grandpa came out to the kitchen where we chatted for a while. Then we moved to the living room where we chatted some more. Dad and Kaycee played on the floor with a set of blocks that have been in the Hill family for a long time. Grandpa mentioned that he used to love to get on the ground and play blocks with his kids and grandkids. It made me happy to hear his memories but sad to see him stuck in the chair. Grandma Nancy took us out to lunch at Applebee's while Grandpa napped in the chair. We got to be with Grandpa for a while longer after we got back. Grandma got a book building kit out and helped Kaycee draw some pictures in the book. It was a beautiful site to watch Kaycee interact with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a beautiful moment, filled with emotion that I will cherish forever. The trip home was broken in 2 with a stop at Moinicals for frozen pizza for dinner. Mom and Jon met us at our house to have salad and pizza. They brought over some firewood for Night Light tomorrow. Hopefully, we can get food bought, house cleaned and a baby shower cake decorated before tomorrow.

Target Run, Driving to Champiagn
Anthony and I planned a last minute trip to Champaign last night, so today I spent the day getting ready. Kaycee, Tripp, Olive and I took an adventure to Target and Aldi to buy a few things that we needed. During morning naps, I packed and got ready to go. When Olive got picked up, we packed up and left. Kaycee was so excited that Papa was going with us. We drove about half way and then stopped at Fudruckers for dinner. We got to Aunt Beth and Uncle Jeff's house around 9 and spent a few minutes hanging out. Kaycee went to sleep on our floor and Tripp slept in the pack n play in Dad's room. The adults stayed up late while the kiddos fell asleep. Tomorrow's going to be an emotional day, so good rest is needed!

Feeding Tripp, Auntie DJ's visit
Auntie DJ came to play today. I don't tell Kaycee about exciting things that are coming up, because containing the excitement too well. So DJ's visit was a surprise and very exciting! Kaycee loves playing with her and I love chatting. Thanks DJ for spending your morning making my children so happy!

Closet Cleaning, Swimming, Sonic
I chose this morning to clean out the closet. What an adventure that was. I cleaned all the shelves and threw out all the old soaps, shampoos, etc. I kept the important things like heating pads, shoe shining kits, and other up to date items. As I was cleaning the floor I noticed a board that was placed about an inch above the actual floor. I lifted it to find this gun underneath. After silently freaking out, I quickly sent Kaycee to find something in the kitchen and lifted the gun. It was a squirt gun, a very realistic looking squirt gun. After talking with Anthony and calming my nerves, I called my parents. I sent them a picture and waited for their reaction. Mom says that they must have been having a squirt gun fight when they were children and Marty stashed it away for safe keeping. Well it was quite the shock to me. They don't even make real life looking squirt guns any more. Oh my.
Olive didn't come today, she's not feeling well. We missed her, so we went swimming to take our mind off of missing her. Kaycee kept asking over and over again "Where is Baby Olive?" Swimming changed that tune! Molly and Truett met us there and we had a great time swimming! Then we went to Sonic for lunch. It was a great morning!

Sonshine School Visitors Day
Today was visitors day at Sonshine Tuesday School! My mom teaches preschool one morning a week at church and Kaycee got to visit today! She was so excited to play in Mema's classroom; she had a hard time understanding that she needed to sit and listen in class instead of play. I thought the babies would sleep during class and I would get to give my attention to Kaycee, but they had other ideas. Both babies were awake and happy to play during the whole class. I did feed both babies, change diapers and pay attention to Kaycee all at the same time. Kaycee was in good hands with Mema! Kaycee dot painted flowers, planted flowers, colored the number 3, played with all the toys, sang songs, danced, listen to a story, ate a cupcake and had a great time! She was so happy.
After Sonshine School we went to Chick Fil A with Molly, Christina, Nikita and all the children. Kaycee and Olive were perfect, Tripp on the other hand was very miserable. He's going to cut this tooth soon... hopefully! I ended up taking them home early putting all the children to bed. Tripp slept terribly, this is the start of something wonderful.. or not!
