First Day of Sonshine School

Today was Kaycee's first day of Sonshine School. She was so excited to go!! Class with Mema and Miss DJ went well! The babies slept and I read my book during class, I also helped out by taking the 2 year olds to the potty in the middle of class. Once the babies woke up, we met the class outside at the park. It was super fun to stay and have lunch with our friends! Kaycee went with Mema to visit Uncle Marty.
Kaycee climbed out of bed again at nap time. 5 seconds after I left her room, she was out of bed. After a hand smack and a stern talk she stayed in her bed for the rest of nap. I think it's time to put up the big girl bed.
Small group went really well tonight. We talked about community and ways that we can become a community that God intended us to be. We talked a lot about serving each other. Tripp got tired about half way through, we may need to start bringing his blankie and letting him take a nap during devo.

First Day of CHAMPS Preschool

Today was the first day of CHAMPS preschool for Kaycee! I was a bit nervous, because I didn't feel like I knew exactly what to expect. When we arrived at church, it was simple to sign in, however there was no introduction or instructions. It's a good thing I knew where the preschool room was and who was the teacher! I brought Kaycee into the room, she immediately went to play with Miss Donna. When I said goodbye she said "I'm stringing beads with Miss Donna." So there mom, I don't need you! :(
After CHAMPS we stayed and ate lunch in Mema's classroom, while Mema and DJ worked to get Sonshine School ready. Then we went home for naps. I was sitting on the couch reading my book club book, and the house was silent. IT had been this way for an hour and I assumed all the children were peacefully sleeping. Except NOT. I heard a strange sound from Kaycee's room that sounded like a piano toy. This piano toy lives across the room on her changing table. Certainly that wasn't what I was hearing. So I checked the monitor and I couldn't see Kaycee in her bed anywhere. Yup, that's right! Kaycee figured out how to get out of bed. So she had been playing for an hour, quietly of course, instead of sleeping. I guess we're going to have to start thinking about switching her to a big girl bed.
Tonight we started Tripp's Birthweek off by going to Toys R Us to buy Tripp a birthday present. WE ended up with a Go Go Smart Wheels Deluxe Garage. Tripp will love playing with the cars! Then we went to Oberweis for some ice cream, which we all enjoyed!!
At bed time, Kaycee bit me. BIT ME! It was quite painful. I wonder what's going on with this girl. Is she reacting to all the attention Tripp got for his birthweek or maybe because she knows another baby is coming? Whatever it is, I've gotta curb the outbursts. I can't take too many more painful cries for attention.

Today was Latara's Baby shower. During worship, the hostesses decorated and set up all the food for the shower. It was beautiful! We had a great turn out of ladies to celebrate Latara and Canaan! Rebecca, Beth and I served BBQ pork sandwiches, ceasar salad, taco salad, veggies, fruit and lemonade/water with red velvet cake for dessert. Christina, Stephanie and Rebecca made super cute animal table decorations and wall decals to decorate! Molly created a beautiful array of Noah's Ark gifts from the hostesses. Overall, I thought it went perfect!

Sips and Scentsy, Dinner with Bobby and Sara

Today we spent the morning working at home, doing chores around the house and running errands. It was a little weird having a Saturday morning at home by myself with the kiddos, but we made it through. Anthony had to work, testing a new system and then driving for Uber. After nap I dropped Anthony and the kids off at my parents house to play and hang out while I went to a Sips and Scents party.
Julie invited me to her Sips and Scents party, which I was excited to go to. I had a great time meeting her family and friends and seeing her beautiful condo. I ordered a few fall scents for our scentsy. Thanks Julie for the invite!
Anthony, the kids and I met Bobby, Sara and Wendee at Chili's for dinner. I felt bad because I was running really late and pushed back the meeting time a whole hour, but it ended up working out for all of us. Dinner was wonderful! I enjoyed catching up with Sara!!

Clearbrook's Fun Fair, IT'S A GIRL!!

This morning we met Mema at Clearbrook for their Fun Fair. We saw Marty, pet animals in the petting zoo, played games, ate lunch and watched Marty perform a song. It was a great morning, full of fun and excitement! I'm so glad we went and it meant so much to Marty to show off the kiddos!

Tonight was our Gender Reveal Party! IT'S A GIRL!! I was so nervous when we brought out the cake to cut. I was sweating, especially while trying to facetime all the people who couldn't be with us, and needed to fan myself with plates. It was probably a hilarious sight. Even after cutting the cake, I had to check the envelope, just to be sure. Anthony and I are so excited! I think Mema was super surprised, she was sure we were going to have a boy. Kaycee was right and can keep calling the baby a girl!

After everyone had left, my parents and I were sitting on the couch talking about plans coming up for future weekends. We all thought Kaycee was in the family room with Jon, watching the ball game. Instead she was in her room, painting. She painted herself, the paper, the floor, me when I came in to clean it up. It was a disaster!

Tree Work, Gender Reveal Cake

Mom came over to play with the kiddos while I went to the Dentist and the grocery store. Randomly I saw Molly coming out of the Aldi as I was going in and stopped to chat for a while. What a fun coincidence. The tree guys came back today to finish their work. The trees look great, the bushes look good too. However, we still have a lot of work to do in the backyard like planting grass, mulching the play set, and general maintenance to make it a friendly backyard. It'll happen one day, I suppose!
I worked all day to make 2 gender reveal cakes, because of course the gender is still in the envelope!!! Arg this is tough!! I made a blue cake and a pink cake, covered them in white icing with a girl/boy flag in top to decipher the 2. I then took them across the street to my neighbor, who opened the envelope and gave back the correct cake. They got to keep the other cake! They sealed the envelope and gave it back, just in case! Afterwards, I finished decorating the cake. I can't believe the gender of our baby is just sitting there and I have to wait until tomorrow to figure it out!! Argggg
