Delivering the Cake/First Night At Rocky Arbor

This morning, Jamey came over to help me deliver a wedding cake. Why I agreed to make a wedding cake and deliver it the day we left for a camping trip, I'll never know. But it turned out fabulous and was totally worth it. Jamey held the precious goods, while I drove out to Crystal Lake to deliver the cake. When we arrived at the apartment complex, Jamey took Kaycee to the playground to play while I tried to deliver the cake to the clubhouse. Unfortunately, it was locked and no one was around to open it, so we took it back to the brides apartment and left it there. I hope that it makes it to the wedding venue ok and that everything is still in one piece. The bride was happy with the cake when I showed it to her originally!
When Daddy got home, we left for Rocky Arbor State Park.  Upon arrival, we found out that one of our campsites was located on a different street than the others and didn't actually back up to the sites we had all together, like we thought.  There was a pretty think forest in between the campsites, which was not going to allow us to get to the rest of the group. We asked the the ranger if he could switch sites for us, and he informed us that that would be up to us to arrange with the other people on the sites near us. Fortunately, one of them was checked in already, so we could go talk to them. However, when we got to their site, they were no where to be seen and actually never showed up that night.  As people from our group began to arrive, I mixed up all the "assigned" sites and put people wherever we could fit them. Until someone from a site across the street showed up and agreed to switch with us! It was awesome to be all together and able to move freely from one site to another.
Everyone was on their own for dinner tonight, be we did all get together for the campfire and smores! This is going to be a great weekend!
(There is no electricity on our sites, so our phones are mostly going to be off. Unfortunately, that probably means not too many pictures.)
