After spending the morning playing and hanging out at the Meidams house, we were off to the wedding! Kyra and Kaycee walked around the park while we were at the wedding. It was only a bazillion degrees outside. Seriously so hot! Thankfully there were some trees near the wedding site that we could stand in the shade, right until the wedding was about to start. Then the blazing hot sun only stayed out for a few minutes before it went behind a cloud and it was a few degrees cooler! The wedding was beautiful, short, and very sweet! Steve looked super happy and Stephanie was beautiful! After the wedding we took the golf cart shuttle back to the parking lot and headed to Dairy Queen for some ice cream, which was super tasty and totally needed on such a hot day. However, it started to storm on our way to the hotel. Poor Anthony had to park the car in the downpour. Thankfully, he was able to drop me and Kaycee and Kyra plus all of our stuff off under the awning near the door.
The reception was super fun. The music was only semi good but we made the best of it. Dinner was family style, so there was plenty of food to go around! We're so thankful for Kyra who came to nanny Kaycee while we enjoyed the wedding! She took Kaycee upstairs after dinner before dancing and put her to bed. Anthony and I were able to enjoy the rest of the party, like we were on a date!! Thank you Kyra!!
