This morning was a lazy morning! We ate breakfast in the
hotel, which surprisingly had good waffles. Then Anthony and Papa ran to
Walmart while Mema and I swam with all of the kiddos. Then showers and packing
up/checking out of the hotel. It’s about an hour trip to Monical’s. Usually we
stop at the Jerky shop, but they had moved. So when we drove by it looked like
the shop was gone. Monical’s was quite tasty, like always. We ended up having
to stop at Walmart again, but made it a quick trip. Then the last hour of
driving till we hit the Boyds road! We tried to create excitement for Kaycee as
we were turning off of 70, but it was rather difficult. The entrance to Boyds
is several miles long and Kaycee kept losing interest. Once we parked and she
was able to get out the excitement started again. We got checked in, bought
fishing licenses and headed down to the cabin. The ladies were still turning
over the cabin when we arrived, so we hung out on the dock and back porch while
we waited. Marty and Randy are sharing
the small upstairs, Anthony, Izzy and I are in the back bedroom, Mema and Papa
are in the side bedroom and Kaycee and Tripp are upstairs. Papa and Mema took
Kaycee in the boat to dinner and Papa and I took Kaycee and Tripp home from
dinner in the boat. Dinner tonight was
prime rib, baked potatoes, green beans and crème brulee for dessert. It thunderstormed tonight so there was no
fishing, but there was some dominoes. The power went out tonight, thankfully
the generator kicked on right away. Kaycee and Tripp did well, she went to
sleep relatively quickly. Izzy however, woke up once to eat and slept the rest
of the night.
