Marty's Birthday, Bob's Funeral

Today we celebrated Marty's birthday. Anthony and I made a few stops on our way to the restaurant. We went to Goodwill and then to the antique/card shop. We got to Red Lobster right at 11, before they even had the doors unlocked. We were the first people in the restaurant, which was a bit strange. However, we got great service! We had to order broccoli and mashed potatoes for Tripp, because he was a hungry boy! Our meals were delicious of course and the cake was tasty too. Marty was very happy with his chocolate cake!
Bob Fisk's funeral was today. It was an emotional ceremony with a lot of laughter. He was a beloved man, and we'll all miss him very much. It's amazing to me to watch all the people come out to celebrate his life. I can only hope that I make an impact on half as many people in my life!

Gage's Birthday Party

We went to Gage's birthday party tonight. After a quick trip to Walmart to pick up paper for VBS and a gift for Gage, we headed to the party. Gage chose a Star Wars theme and Molly made an awesome 3D R2D2 cake. They even had R2D2 sounds playing during the cake part. Gage really loved the football gloves that we bought for him, He even came right over and hugged me after opening them. So happy to give him an awesome gift!! Happy Birthday Gage!

Projects

I had a very productive day today. During morning naps, Kaycee was playing beautifully so I decided to do a project. I cut the shelf over my kitchen counter in half to open up the counter and make it less crowded. I unscrewed the shelf from the wall, sawed it in half and put it back on the wall, all before the babies woke up.
Then we took an impromptu trip to Zurich to have lunch with daddy. The cafeteria was quite packed so we went downstairs where there were less people. However, 2 ladies sat in table directly next to us and eventually engaged in a conversation with Kaycee. She sang for them and answered all their questions, then they notice baby Olive. They thought she was the cutest thing. They were a bit confused until we kindly explained that she was a friend. I don't understand, does she look different then our kiddos??? haha just kidding!!
Tripp took his first bath in the big tub tonight, he was less than thrilled. I will attribute it to the fact that I woke him up from his evening nap to do it. Anthony was out with Chris and Caleb doing sporty stuff, so I was home with the kiddos and bath time was a bit different than normal. He'll get used to it when he realizes all the fun he can have...

Sweet Kiddos

Today was a sweet day at home with my adorable kiddos! I can't get enough of them! We spent most of the day playing on the floor and grocery shopping. It's quite an experience to grocery shop with a baby strapped to the front and 2 kiddos in the cart. I'm getting better at it! Even Olive seemed to be having fun at the grocery store!

Nursing Minnie

While Tripp's lunch feeding Kaycee decided that she was going to nurse Minnie. She ran to the living room and grabbed my nursing cover. She came back and had some trouble navigating Minnie under the cover and needed some help. I did help get Minnie under the cover which made Kaycee very happy. She then went and sat down on the large stuffed fish in Tripp's room. After getting situated, she pulled out her cell phone and started talking on it. Apparently, I spend too much time talking on my cell phone while nursing Tripp.

Gardening with Mema, Daddy/Daughter Date Night

Mema came over to visit today and plant some flowers outside of Kaycee's window. I brought the babies outside for a few minutes to enjoy the beautiful weather and bright sunshine. Of course we kept Baby Olive in the shade the whole time! I need to invest in some strong baby sunscreen for both babies!
Anthony took Kaycee on a Daddy/Daughter date at Chick Fil A tonight. They got dressed up, took pictures and off they went. Dinner, play time and a limo ride later they came home from a fabulous night!
