Zoo with Mema, Gender Reveal Cupcake Order

I really wanted to go to the Zoo today because it was supposed to be really nice outside, before it snows tomorrow.  Christina and Molly had other plans and DJ was supposed to go with me. Unfortunately, after a pretty hard bonk on the head at Night Light last night, Nolan stayed home from school with a headache and Sammi wasn't feeling well. So I asked my mom to go with me. I don't know why it never occured to me that my mom would be able to go. The timing works perfectly between her work hours. So we met her at church and drove together to the zoo. There was very few people at the zoo, it was like having every animal to ourselves! Kaycee really wanted to see the giraffes, which was definitely ok with me! So we went towards Giraffes first. Then went towards the bears and then to the penguins, We did the swamp house last. Kaycee loved the giraffes, brown bear and snakes the best!
After the zoo I came home to fulfill a cupcake order. Lori asked me to make gender reveal cupcakes for a dinner tonight. So, she brought me the envelope with the gender inside. I filled the cupcakes and the decorated them. I added an extra cupcake with a baby topper into the order. She came and picked them up about an hour later. I hope she's excited to find out!
Usually after the kids go to bed, Anthony and I are too tired to think straight. So we often watch a T.V. show and go to bed. Tonight we played Bedpans and Broomsticks instead. We think that the game is quite difficult when it's played with 2 players. It seems that it's especially easy for the doctor/nurses to win. So we'll need to pull it out with a few more people to see if it gets more difficult! Anyone want to play?

Happy Sunday, Knights Game, Night Light

Look at these cuties!! They're ready for church!! Happy Sunday friends!

Anthony had a Knights game after church today, Unfortunately they lost, They've played this team 3 times in the last week and will most likely play them again in the playoffs next weekend.

We went to my parents house after the game so the kids could nap before Night Light. Anthony and Dad played a game while Mom and I watched NCIS. We all left at the same time because they were going to their small group too. Night Light was fun! The Rays made hot dogs and really yummy cookies/brownies for dessert. Sammi got re-baptized (CONGRATS!) and Rob gave a great devo! I wish that Kaycee knew how to play quietly and would whisper when we asked her. I missed bits and pieces of the devo because I was constantly telling Kaycee to be quiet or taking her into the hallway. She'll grow into it, I know, but it makes it hard to do quiet activities.

Diapers, Bye Bye Birdie, Mulch, Fuller House Marathon

This morning, after several rounds in the washing machine, I hung the diaper liners outside in the "sun". There are so many tree branches in the backyard that it's hard to find a place that has consistent sun exposure. So I did my best. However, our method of hanging up the clothes line was less than perfect. The diapers almost touched the ground and the Shepard hooks kept leaning. We'll have to do something different next time.
We dropped the kids off at my parents house, before heading to Sammi and Nolan's play. They did a great job! Afterwards we went to the Ray's to load up our van with rubber mulch. I'm so excited to get the ground covered under the playset!!
Tonight I went to Rebecca's for a Fuller House marathon. It was great! I had so much fun hanging out with friends, eating good food, and watching a great show! Anthony had some guy friends over too, It was a win win for both of us!

Lunch with Daddy, Playdoh, Rebecca's Birthday Bash

Today we went and had lunch with Daddy. We brought our lunch and sat with him at Zurich. Kaycee ran around distracting people from their lunch. Luckily no one got upset with her. Zurich needs a playground for Kaycee to play in while Anthony and I eat lunch together!
Tonight we pulled out the Playdoh for the first time. I have been slightly concerned about Playdoh because things have a nasty way of find themselves inside of Kaycee's mouth. I would prefer she doesn't swallow any Playdoh. But with both Anthony and myself watching her like a hawk, she had her fist encounter with Playdoh. She mostly wanted to play with the tools, but after a while she started to get the hang of creating things with the Playdoh. I however, created a man. Isn't he perfect? Haha
Tonight I went out to Joes Live in Rosemont to celebrate Rebecca's birthday. I learned (again) that I am not a bar scene kind of person. I would much rather have spent the time at a restaurant eating food and hanging out, where you can hear each other talking. But I still had a great time with everyone! Happy Birthday Rebecca!!
