Daddy went fishing this morning with Papa and Jim. They took the big boat on the larger part of the river. I’ve never done that river trip, but it sounds awesome. Unfortunately, they did not bring any fishi not the boat, they did raise a few. While Tripp took a nap, Mema, Kaycee and I went on a flower adventure. We went to the field near Dog lake and picked daisies, yellow flowers and orange flowers. Then Mema made Daisy chains for all of us. Kaycee loved wandering around in the tall grass. Thankfully, no ticks! We came back and Tripp had just woken up and it was time for me to pick up Anthony. I dropped Mom and Kaycee off at the playground and took Tripp with me 6 mile to pick up Anthony. Dad and Jim ended up going to another lake to finish out the day and we came back for lunch. Lunch was tacos, which were tasty. After lunch the kids came back for a nap, Anthony and I went fishing on Dog lake. We were really excited because last year we found some Crappies, but unfortunately we didn’t find them this time. We didn’t do so hot, even in the several places we tried. When we got back, Jon and Mom went out fishing and did fairly well, bringing back several keepers. Dinner was baked chicken and ham with cheesy potatoes and peas with a lemon tart for dessert. Tonight was supposed to be the softball game, but there was a thunderstorm on the horizon so it got canceled. Instead, Anthony and Dad went to Little Bass to fish for walleye. Dad caught a. 18.5in Walleye that we got to keep and clean, Anthony’s smaller Walleye had to be put back. :( Watching Dad clean his walleye was really exciting, ended up with the biggest filets I’ve ever seen.
